Long Live the King!

I apologise for the fact that lately my blogs have been a stream of videos, but I don't actually have anything to say at the moment and videos are fun ^^
As you probably know, I leave my iPod/iTunes on shuffle most of the time. I end up hearing songs i haven't in a while and i like that XD Here's one of the most recent:

Meekakitty and a slight obsession

I think I just got meekakitty'd
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=giUlJcUyAMg&feature=channel

She reminds me of nic attard and krissie, all mashed up and chucked in the USA as a model XD

And I'm slightly stuck on this:

And and.. I need to get a life off of the internet. Soon.

Of colour, God and Jackie Chan

And that's my current background XD This one is going to be full of pictures, as I'm sure you can already see...
The point of this is coming soon, but not yet. First, all of you have to go here. It's such a nerdy but fun feeling knowing you've just sent an e-mail to yourself.. in the future.
Before...
After...

These are the official pics documenting the changing of my hair colour. Which, despite my lack of love towards the current colour, taught me something. (insert: point of blog) So, blonde is what I was aiming for, and thanks to lilly's painstaking guidance, wisdom and expertise in the dying of hair, blonde is what I (eventually) got. You could say I got what I wanted. However, upon joining the clan of Bett, Bevie, Amy and the other blondes, and settling into the fact that my hair looks like fire and that I can't do much about it, I realised that I do not like it after all. Fancy that, getting what you want, but not liking it anymore once you have it. Intelligent move, achie. I spent my day in a beanie which was repeatedly yanked off by people cause they like the fire coming out of my follicles. (Except for the one time i willingly took a picture in order to show krissie, who knew of my plans, what it looks like) Anyhow, I think my hatred is apparent xD. Thank God I have a few beanies to play with this week. I'll be dying it back to brown again latest by saturday morning, cause in the evening my cousin's getting married and I don't feel like all my family asking what on earth happened to my hair. Sorry to disappoint those of you who like it or have not yet seen it... but seeing as I don't usually care much about what people think of my silly choices, it shouldn't make much of a difference to my usual attitude XD
I just realised that was a pointless rant.. what I mean to say was: God knows what we want, what we like and what we need, so don't be a pest and whine cause he isn't giving you what you want, he'll give you what you need and ultimately what you like.
One mooore thing! Vibrant hair makes me all passive and silent when I'm aware of said vibrance. When I'm still under my brunette illusion I'm my normal occasionally passive, usually wierd self.
Aiyaaaa! (sorry, Jackie Chan on Fox Kids influenced me too much as a child) I am utterly positive brunettes have more fun, and I'm not just saying that. :P

Old-style blog!

The house is finally silent(ish). The riot of fourteen-year old girls has finally left XD
At d-group mass this morning I thought of something and got really excited so i wanted to blog about it, but in typical achie fashion, I've forgotten what I was going to say. I kinda know in which direction i was heading, but the particulars have escaped me. And it was the particulars that I really liked, and really drew me into it. I was going to quote lyrics and everything XD Pfft.
On the positive side, i have lovely cookies, and I know there's ice cream somewhere XD
Oooh i think I remember what I was going to say! Tim Hughes comes into it a lot it seems. Did anyone else ever notice how Christians are usually the most anxious people to get married? Like their life pivots around finding "the one" and amazingly not many think of anything after marriage, just aim to get to that point? Right, well I think it can be kind of stupid. Disclaimer: I am in no way whatsoever talking about anyone specific (:
As i was saying, i find it's almost become our collective obsession, and sometimes I think we take the focus off of Jesus. (me included, I'm no saint) So, seeing as the Church is Jesus' wife, and the Song of Solomon says a lot about the subject too, it's not hard to see that there's something being said about the whole thing.

And i just remembered something else XD In films, when the hero-dude rescues the damsel in distress, the story usually ends with them falling in love cause she's so grateful and literally hero-worships him, and she's often budaful. Now, I can't remember any exact quote, but I'm pretty sure that the body of christ is beautiful in its own right, and Jesus saved us from the worst possible end. I think you know where I'm going with this XD

"Jesus you alone shall be my first love"
-Tim Hughes Jesus, You alone
"Beauty that made this heart adore you, hope of a life spent with you"
-Tim Hughes Here I Am To Worship
"You're altogether lovely, altogether worthy, altogether wonderful to me"
-Tim Hughes Here I Am To Worship
"...and heart abandoned, in awe of the one who gave it all"
-Hillsong United The Stand
"There's no other love compared with you, for ever strong, for ever true" (ok, this might just be a personal fave XD)
-Paul Oakley Ever Faithful God
The whole of How Marvellous.

I'm not trying to say that romantic love is wrong or anything of the sort, just that I think it's easy to overlook this part of God's character (: Hmm I enjoyed writing this, it's kinda like my first ever blogs x)

David and OXO cubes

hello (:
I'm bored at home so I figured I might as well blog. I don't really have anything to say, so this might be the most pointless blog to appear here XD Hmm.. everyone go watch the vid on mina's latest post! It's really pretty (: Oh, and good luck to everyone who starts O-level and A-level orals this week! (like bek who starts today)
This morning i watched a national geographic documentary on the apocalypse and it was so pointless. It repeated the same clips again and again, the antichrist looked a bit like james marsden, and it didn't say anything new. In fact, the people they interviewed contradicted each other so much that it was confusing beyond belief. Like the book of revelation needed anyone to make it more confusing.
Anyway, I'm now unsure whether the world is ending or not, and I'm not in the mood to care to be honest xD. If you try to live well and follow Jesus, make the most of the time you have and do your bit to help other people, I don't think it should really matter to you whether the world is going to end in the coming days, weeks, months, years or even centuries.
I want systems! I had a lecture yesterday, and I'm going to have another bunch in the holidays cause my lecturer has to go abroad, but I really like the topic we're doing XD Zoe will probably kill me for saying that, cause I'm pretty sure she doesn't like them. But they're really cool xD We have a good teacher, and she has a degree in history of art, so she knows all the details that keep me amused x) Although I always forget to buy the slide lists so I don't usually know the name of anything. But whenever she mentions donatello, I think of a turtle wearing a purple bandana. It's quite funny to think a turtle sculpted that David xD
Did anyone watch seven pounds? It looks sad and quite dull imo.
I'm off to go try and raise my blood pressure.
